Press the Home button to save the APN and exit to the main screen.
Restart the iPhone.

If the above Virgin Internet & MMS APN settings do not work on your iPad Pro 12.9 (2017), make below changes to Virgin Internet & MMS APN settings to get Virgin Media Mobile Internet on your Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (2017).
